To start Zulu Mission Control on Windows, complete the following steps:

  1. Download the installation package to your local Documents folder.
  1. Unzip the Zulu Mission Control zip package.

unzip -xzvf <zulu_mission_control_package>.zip

  1. Run the following command in the terminal:

Note:

Zulu Mission Control requires to be run with a JDK (not a JRE) installed on your machine.

If the No local JVMs detected warning dispalys when you run zmc.exe, you need to complete either of the following:

  • Use the -vm<path_to_your_JDK_installation> parameter to run Zulu Mission Control.

  • Edit the zmc.ini configuration file before running Zulu Mission Control as follows:

    1. Open zmc.ini which is located in the same directory as zmc.exe

    2. Insert the following two lines above the -vmargs command:

      -vm

      <path_to_your_JDK_installation>

      Your edited snippet should look similar to the sample below:

      --launcher.appendVmargs

      -vm

      C:\PROGRA~1\Java\jdk1.8.0_172\bin\javaw.exe

      -vmarg

    3. Save zmc.ini.
