What’s new

  • General bug fixes and improvements.

  • From this release on, GC Log Analyzer is now available for download in two versions, adding support for all OpenJDK distributions:

    • Community Availability (CA), which is compatible with Azul Zing Builds of OpenJDK (Zing) and exposes a lot of additional insights into the behavior of the C4 Garbage Collector.

    • Supported Availability (SA) for Azul customers, which is compatible with all OpenJDK distributions and Azul Zulu Builds of OpenJDK (Zulu).

  • Generational logs from the Z Garbage Collector (ZGC, introduced in OpenJDK 21) can now be opened with GC Log Analyzer. The following charts and information are provided for this kind of logs:

    • GC: GC Count

    • GC: Pauses

    • GC: GC Concurrent Times

    • GC: Minimum Mutator Utilization

    • Memory: Allocation Stalls

    • Memory: Heap

    • System: Load Average

  • This new Azul documentation section on docs.azul.com/gc-log-analyzer has been created to collect all information about generating and analyzing gc.log files.
