Periodic cgroup memory statistics in SYSINFO records (usage, max usage, RSS, shared memory, and file cache) could momentarily reset to a fixed, near-zero value immediately after GC log rotation, producing a false memory-drop artifact on cgroup memory charts. GCLA now carries forward the last valid cgroup memory reading across the stale initial-stats record replayed at rotation.
GC Log Analyzer 26.09.0
What’s new
-
GC Log Analyzer now processes Zing-specific
extlines embedded in extended Zing-style GC logs from Azul Zulu (G1, PGC, ZGC, and CMS). When this data is present, GCLA adds the same Zing-only content it already shows for C4 logs. Each section or chart below is shown only when its backing data is actually present in the log, so a plain OpenJDK log with noextlines is unaffected.Summary page sections added:
-
System Info
-
Execution Environment Info
-
VM Process Info
-
JIT Compiler Info
-
ReadyNow/RNO information
Chart categories added:
-
Sysinfo
-
CGroup
-
CPU Usage
-
Process
-
Compiler Statistics
-
Deopt Statistics

GC Log Analyzer now supports OpenJDK unified-logging rotated log sequences (for example,
gc.log.0,gc.log.1, … alongside a livegc.logorgc.log.current).-
Opening any one segment of such a sequence prompts you to open the whole series as a single merged log, the same as GCLA already does for rotated C4 logs.
-
Segments are ordered by their first embedded timestamp rather than by file suffix, so a sequence works correctly even after its segment numbers have wrapped around.
