The Web Interface
The web interface is served by the same application as the API, so there is nothing separate to install, start, or point at anything. Sign in at the address of your installation, and the first screen is the Fleet Inventory. If you were sent to sign in from another page, you return to that page instead.
Finding Your Way Around
The navigation on the left groups every screen under three headings, with Settings, the API console, About, and Sign out pinned at the bottom.
| Section | What is in it |
|---|---|
Fleet |
Inventory, the filterable list of every machine and the JVM installations on it, and Trends, how the estate moves over time. |
Licensing Alerts |
Coverage, the overview of the estate by version, vendor, and license with its PDF export, and Migration Waves, the remediation work somebody has planned. Two tabs of one screen. |
Security Exposure |
Judges the installations seen in the last 30 days against the latest quarterly security update and the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, and recommends an Azul build. See Security Exposure. |
Settings |
An index of every administrative area. See Settings Overview. |
Public API |
The browsable console over the integration API, opened in a new tab. Every signed-in user sees it. See The Integration API. |
About |
What the product is, the version you run, how an observation travels from the Agent or an AMT scan through the Forwarder to the web interface, and links to the Forwarder and Agent documentation. See The About Page. |
Both Admins and Members read everything under Fleet, Licensing Alerts, and Security Exposure, including the decisions that carry commercial weight. Administration under Settings, including the audit log, is for Admins. Members open Settings too, for their own API tokens, quota and usage, single sign-on, and to read the exclusion groups.
The About Page
About, at the bottom of the navigation, is open to every signed-in user. It describes the product, shows the version you run as Version <version> (<build stamp>), draws how an observation travels from the Agent or an AMT scan through the Forwarder to the web interface, and links to the documentation for setting up the Forwarder and using the Agent.
Light and Dark
The interface follows your display preference. The screenshots in this documentation are taken in dark mode.
Finding the Version You Run
Support questions start with the version. The About page shows it with the build stamp, and so does the VERSION file in the release directory of your installation (/opt/ljvmi/current/VERSION). See Finding the Version You Run.
