MicroProfile OpenTracing support (including the @Traced annotation) was removed in Azul Payara Community 7.2026.8 and Azul Payara 7.4.0.

Applications should migrate to MicroProfile Telemetry and OpenTelemetry to instrument their code for distributed request tracing. The replacement for the @Traced annotation is the @WithSpan annotation, which is part of MicroProfile Telemetry. For full details, see OpenTelemetry support and MicroProfile Telemetry.
