MicroProfile OpenTracing support (including the @Traced annotation) was removed in Azul Payara Community 7.2026.8.

Applications should migrate to MicroProfile Telemetry and OpenTelemetry to instrument their code for distributed request tracing. The replacement for the @Traced annotation is the @WithSpan annotation, which is part of MicroProfile Telemetry. For full details, see OpenTelemetry support and MicroProfile Telemetry.
